After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel. Start your private tour by discovering the last remaining ancient wonder of the world, the Pyramids of Giza, Cheops, Mykerinus, and Chephren. Learn the history of this miraculous edifice that still keeps the mystery of its construction. From the Plateau, enjoy the unique view of the Pyramids emerging from the golden sand of Giza. It’s the moment to take pictures of your life! Before leaving the site, let’s greet Abu El Hol, the 3000 years old great Sphinx. Reach now the second step of your journey, the Pyramid of Saqqara also known as the Pyramid of Djoser. Saqqara is the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis. It’s on this site that King Djoser built his tomb more than 4000 years ago. It was the first time in history that the pyramidal shape was used to build a tomb of a kind. After lunch, finish your day by visiting the Museum of Cairo which contains the most beautiful artefacts of Ancient Egypt, royal mummies, and the amazing treasure of King Tutankhamun. Return to your hotel overnight.
 
Your guide will meet you at 8 AM in your hotel for a tour in Islamic and Coptic Cairo. Travel back to time by visiting the medieval district of Cairo. Start your day with the Hanging church. Hanged above the gate of the old Babylone Fortress, the church seeks to be admired. Proceed inside this holy edifice and examine the 13 pillars the whole nave stands on. It’s believed that the pillars symbolize Jesus and his 12 apostles, and the darker one represents Juda. Visit now, Saint Sergius Church. Dating back to the 4th century this building is an archetype of the early Coptic churches. This church is famous for its crypt that is believed to have hosted Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus Christ at the end of their journey in Egypt. Discover the Synagogue that is believed has been built where Moses was found by Pharaon’s daughter when he was a baby. Ben Ezra synagogue is famous for its Geniza inside which outdated and holy documents containing the name of God were honourably stored. Proceed now to the Islamic part of the city. Visit the first mosque to be built in Egypt and the whole of Africa in 641: Amr Ibn Al-Aas mosque. The story tells that the mosque was built where Amr Ibn Al-Aas had settled his tent because a dove laid an egg in it before the great battle he won against the Romans. Enter the Citadel built by sultan Salah Al-Din in order to defend the city against the army of the Crusaders. This fortress used to be the residence of Egyptian rulers for 700 years, nowadays it hosts many mosques and museums. Visit now the Alabaster mosque. You can’t miss this prodigious building while you are entering the citadel. Indeed, the Ottoman building majestically stands on the summit of the citadel so that you can admire its overlayed domes and great minarets. Nearby, let’s discover the Cave Church, also known as the Monastery of Saint Simon. The church is housed in the hill El-Mokattam in an area called the « garbage city » due to the large presence of garbage collectors known as « Zabbaleen ». The monastery of Saint Simon is actually the largest church in the whole Middle East. Stroll along El Moez street and admire the medieval buildings, madrassas (Koran schools), mosques, and traditional houses. You will probably find in your way many young Egyptians looking for the perfect selfie. Pay attention to Bab Zuweila, one of the remaining gates of the medieval city of Cairo. Then, make your way through the streets of Khan El Khalili. Built in the 14th century this souk is still operating. Spices, gold, soap, handmade souvenirs… you can find almost anything here. Need to go back home with a souvenir, Khan El Khalili is the ideal place for that! Here, in this historical district, you will have lunch in a local restaurant. End this fascinating tour on a relaxing note in El-Azhar Park. This vast green area is located in the middle of the most significant historical sites of Islamic Cairo. From there you can contemplate the great monuments that surround you. After that, You will be escorted back to your hotel for overnight
 
Our representative will pick you up from your place in Luxor to drive you to your cruise ship and will assist you with the check-in procedure. After your lunch on board, visit the two glorious temples of the East Bank of the ancient Thebes, Karnak temple. This vastest Ancient temple was dedicated to the Theban triad Amun, Mut, and their son Khonsu and was connected to Luxor Temple by a long alley of sphinxes. For more than 2000 years, about thirty Pharaohs have contributed to the construction of the building, making it unique by its size, degree of elaboration, and diversity of styles. End your day with the Luxor temple, this is the perfect time to enjoy the splendour of the Ancient architecture highlighted by the shimmering rays of the setting sun. Enter the site facing the immense pylon of Ramses II, his monumental colossi, and of course the huge obelisk. Here, for the Feast of Opet, used to take place every year the union of Mut and Amun and the rebirth of their son. This ceremony radiated on the Pharaoh, who could thus renew his power above whole Egypt. The site also hosts a roman chapel and a mosque that you can still admire on the top of the ancient columns of the temple. Enjoy your dinner in your cruise ship and spend the night on board.
 
After your breakfast on the cruise ship, star an unforgettable excursion to the West Bank of Luxor. Discover first the valley of the Kings, a symbol of pharaohs’ glory. The site contains 63 tombs excavated in the rock of the mountain, the most famous one is that of King Tutankhamun. Venture inside a royal tomb and examine the coloured scenes on the walls, these give you insights into the beliefs and funerary rites of Ancient Egyptians. It’s also a great reminder of the prestige and greatness of the pharaohs. Continue your visit with the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Arriving at the site, the impressive cliff will not miss captivating your eyes. But it’s at the foot of this masterpiece of nature that remains the real wonder, Hatshepsut temple. The external architecture matches perfectly with the refined cliff, the building seems to have been sculpted into the rock. Once inside you will notice that many statues and engraving have their face destroyed, your expert guide will explain the strong history behind this. Reach now the last step of your day, the Colossi of Memnon. Massive, proudly standing, and the gaze fixed toward the Nile, the two colossi of Memnon were the guardians of the vastest and the most sumptuous temple in Egypt, that of Amenhotep. After breakfast on your cruise ship, make a stop at Edfu to visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus, Osiris’ vengeful son. Sail to Kom Ombo and top over the “double-temple” of Sobek, This temple is perfectly symmetrical, one half is dedicated to the crocodile dod Sobek and the other to the falcon-headed god Horus Join your ship for lunch and continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise ship.
 
Around 4 am, your guide will pick you up from Aswan at the place you choose. You will be driven for 3 hours by private air-conditioned car to Abu Simbel, 290 km south of Aswan. The two temples you are about to visit are located on the west bank of Lake Nasser, but this is not their original place. Indeed, in order to save these Ancient treasures from the flood, the decision was made to relocate them. Therefore, the temples were entirely moved in 1968, dislocated, and reassembled in a higher area. Nubia was a valuable region for Egyptians because of its gold and other precious goods. Hence, Pharaoh Ramesses II decided to build these two massive temples in order to establish his supremacy upon the Nubians. Visit these two masterpieces with your Egyptologist guide and discover the history of this place and of the great Pharaoh who build them. You will have plenty of time to take memorable photos. Here ends your amazing tour at Abu Simbel, you will be driven back to Aswan to experience a traditional felucca ride around the islands of Aswan. You will finally be transferred to your ship cruise in Aswan.
